Penta G

Penta G is a demo game for the European Union GameTools Project that was created to showcase some of the technology developed in that project. It showcases three core technologies: Coherent Hierarchical Culling, Depth Impostors and Raytrace Refractions/Reflections while featuring other state-of-the-art graphical effects such as omnidirectional shadowmapping, parallax mapping, bloom/glow, deferred lighting, various postprocessing effects, etc.

The game is a first person shooter set in a sci-fi environment, offering a short campaign with a few levels and an end boss.

The Special Edition (exclusively downloadable here on this Website!) adds Shadow Maps and other nice things compared to the Gametools version!
